Baker Utilities is designed around local desktop processing, signed releases and clear self-service guidance.
Local processing
Baker Utilities desktop applications process files on your device. The website does not accept PDF uploads or run document conversion for you. PDFUtil keeps PDFs on the device. Screenshot Capture keeps screenshots on the device. Notepad++ Clone keeps text files on the device. Environment Variable Configurator keeps environment-variable edits on the device.
Optional AI Assistant
The optional AI Assistant sends only extracted text, form metadata or selected approved profile values you explicitly approve through a supported CLI you install and authenticate yourself. Queries go through your own subscription, so Baker Utilities does not add API charges. PDFUtil does not store API keys or download a CLI on your behalf.
Website request data
This site provides product information, help pages and signed download links. Like any hosted website, Vercel processes normal request metadata such as IP address, user agent and timestamp in server logs. The site does not accept uploads; if you email support, screenshots and files leave only through your own mail client.
Signed updates
When a website release is available, a signed HTTPS stable manifest and SHA-256 checksum help the desktop application fetch the correct build. Trusting the publisher identity remains the application's responsibility. The optional AI Assistant applies to PDFUtil only.
